I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from North Greenville University, earning the Magna Cum Laude distinction. I have always wanted to teach middle school students the vast, intriguing subjects known as Social Studies and English Language Arts. I firmly believe that every child has an immense amount of potential; the goal of the teacher is to unlock that child's potential for the world to see. I enjoy each course of History, whether Global Studies or United States History, for they teach students that History has a wide array of ideas and values. I enjoy introducing students to new words, different types of literature, and writing styles. I believe all students should be active learners and critical thinkers, actively engaging in the material and thinking of solutions to make the world a better place.
Succinctly, my role as a middle school Social Studies and English teacher is to prepare my students to be informed citizens about the issues of the day and to be productive members of society.
